When does Making Tax Digital start if I earn over 30,000 pounds?

If your qualifying income for the 2025 to 2026 tax year is more than 30,000 pounds, you need to start Making Tax Digital for Income Tax on 6 April 2027. Qualifying income is your gross self employment and property turnover, before expenses, taken from your tax return for that tax year.
